The PICBASIC PRO Compiler 3 0 Gold Edition is a full-feature professional compiler for building software on the PIC32 family of microcontrollers. It offers the ability to either create programs that are highly tuned for performance or program into assembly, leverage your existing skills in assembly or even use it as a cross platform IDE, that will work with Windows, Linux and MacOS. The PICBASIC PRO Compiler has many features including support for 8 bit PWM, 16 bit timers with up to 255 intervals and 3 timer overflows per second. PICBASIC PRO Compiler 3 0 Gold Edition contains an integrated GUI compiler along with an integrated debugger. The GUI Compiler can be used to compile and code edit projects. The debugger allows the full use of all the features of the compiler and an operation to step through code and execute it line-by-line. The GUI Interface is written in C++ and allows drag and drop programming, code preview, syntax highlighting, project management and integrated documentation browser. There is also a command line interface to compile programs from the command line as well as scripts that can be executed from within notepad or within "Batch" files. The PICBASIC PRO Compiler 3 0 Gold Edition is available in two editions, the Free edition and the Professional edition. (The free version has limited IDE and debugger features and does not allow assembly to be used for compile time). The Professional version contains all of the IDE and debugger features, well formatted error messages and assembly instruction completion for C++. The C++ API is available to use with the PICBASIC PRO Compiler 3 0 Gold Edition. It allows the compiler to generate machine code directly from the C++ API functions instead of direct memory addresses. This allows for more compact programs, smaller memory footprints and greatly speeds the development process over regular C/C++ using straight memory access. The PICBASIC PRO Compiler 3 0 Gold Edition has a built-in graphical interface that will run on Windows, Linux or MacOS.
